This year's African Cup of Nations will be played in Cote'd'Ibore. Initially, the tournament was supposed to be held in Guinea before being transferred to Cote'd'Ibore. After Guinea failed to carry out the necessary arrangements.

 The major companies that will sponsor this year's competition include Ecobank, Razzi, Apsonic and TECNO, which will join forces with Totalenergies and Orange to sponsor the competition.

Nigerian singer Yemi Alade and another singer from Egypt will present songs that will entertain the audience on the opening and closing ceremonies of the AFCON.

The games will be played in 6 main fields of Cote'd'Ibore, and 32 referees have been prepared to lead the competition.

The tournament will start on January 13, 2024 at the Alasanne Outarra Stadium where the final will be played on February 11.

Meanwhile, Alhassan Yusuf, a player of the Royal Antwerp Football Club of Belgium, has been confirmed as the replacement for Wilfred Ndidi in the Nigerian team for 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.

 Yusuf who was initially among the players temporarily released by the 41-man Super Eagles. This is the first time the player has been called up to represent Nigeria.

 Ndidi was injured before Leicester City's 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Monday.

Nigeria And Guinea Will Play Friendly Match In Dubai ahead of AFCON

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play a friendly match against Guinea in Abu Dhabi on Monday, according to the Communications Director of the NFF, Ademola Olajire.

 The News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Abuja reported that the friendly match is one of the Super Eagles' preparations ahead of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire.

The coach of the Super Eagles, José Peseiro, wants to test the confidence of his players as AFCON approaches.

The friendly match will come just seven days before the three-time AFCON champions Super Eagles play Equatorial Guinea at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.

Ghana's captain ANDRE AYEW hopes to make history at this year's AFCON

The famous Ghanaian football player, Andre Ayew, could make a big history in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

 The 34-year-old, who recently moved to French club Le Havre, is aiming to become the first player to score in different Africa Cup of Nations seven times.

Currently, Ayew has the record of scoring goals in six AFCON competitions along with his Ghana counterpart Asamoah Gyan, Zambia's Kalusha Bwalya and the former captain of the Cameroon national team Samuel Eto'o.

In addition, Ayew hopes to become only the third player to participate in the tournament eight times, if that happens he will be the third player to do this feat after Rigobert Song and Ahmed Hassan.

Any team that wins the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations will receive a prize of seven million dollars ($7M), the equivalent of (6.19 billion Naira), as African Football Confederation CAF said in a statement on Thursday.

 On the 13th of January, 24 countries from African continent will participate in Ivory Coast to compete in AFCON African Cup of Nations 2024.

 The statement issued by the African Football Confederation (CAF) explained the money that winner of the competition and other runner up who participated in the competition will get. The agency said every team that wins this year's competition will receive a prize of seven million dollars ($7M), the equivalent of (6.19 billion Naira). Likewise, the losers in semi-finals will receive two and a half million dollars ($2.5M) each, while the quarterfinalists will receive $1.3 million ($1.3M) each of them, according to the statement, which did not provide details of the prize that will be given to the remaining countries that will participate in the competition.

 Hosts Ivory Coast and 23 other nations, including seven-time winners Egypt, will face the challenge of winning the championship.

 The host and two-time champions Ivory Coast will face Guinea Bissau, on January 13 in the opening match at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan with capacity of 60,000 people, they had draw in their previous three matches.
